It's not about "believe". They did not take a photo of a Black Hole. It's not a photo at all. They registered some electromagnetic signals with very low resolution then they mapped the levels to colors. They said: OK, let's assume that N volts equal to the orange color. This "photo" is marketing bullshit because they need investments from the govt for their research. No any proofs that "black holes" even exist. It's a mathematical object, and there are scientists that offer another models of the starts evolution without any "black holes" at all.
